Our population is at its peak in recent years. This has led many skeptics wondering why this is so. Ah, little did they know the answer was among them. People. People are the reason we are in an over capacitated state. Why? Too many babies were produced during the earlier years. What does this do to the human population? It increases. We already have other living species. Our species is the only one that does not know when to stop reproducing. Do families have a large role in this problem. Yes. In fact, smaller families have a positive impact on our planet today in sustainability, efficiency, and productivity
What is sustainability? The answer is quite simple, as it pertains to the economic state we are in. Sustainability is the act of being able to maintain ecological balance, which is what we are trying to achieve as of now. How do large families pose a threat to sustainability? The answer is apparent. Larger families will need a larger share of natural resources, with many large families our resources will become scarce. Scarcity then leads to famine. On the other hand, smaller families use up less of our resources, thus leaving maintaining an ecological balance.
Efficiency. Ah, the term that has a ring to the ears. What is more efficient? Larger families provide more people, but everyday life has its limits. Can you imagine walking through crowded streets everywhere you turn? No. Why? There is a limit on humanity. The phrase “too much of a good thing” does apply itself in this case. If there are too many humans on this planet, efficiency will go down due to overproduction. In today’s society, the rare items are sought after, and the common items are looked down upon. If there’s too many humans, a similar process will occur.
The productivity of this planet is at stake. How is this so? Too many humans are being produced. So little jobs available. Creativity in the creation of new working fields of interest is decreasing. This is all alive an existent in today’s society. What can be done to stop this? The human population must adapt with smaller families. In all cases, this would prove to have an increase in productivity. How? Smaller families will create a balance or at least decrease the terrible economic state we are in.
Overall, smaller families prove to be more efficient in comparison to larger families. Smaller families create a balance in sustainability, efficiency, and productivity on this planet. Larger families harm the state our planet is in - depression.
