Public Health Concern

A major public health problem that concerns me is the one with flu season. Other countries have adapted to having individuals wear these facemasks that would prevent others from getting infected with the ailment they have. I would wear these masks if they were available to the public. It would reduce the number of people who get sick through the air, which would make healthier humans. I bought this up as a concern because I noticed the number of students I have to face everyday. Weekly, I go to a high school, a community college, and a middle school. While I attend those places I notice so many students are sneezing and coughing, that soon I get infected. I have to face middle school students, high school student, and college student, all during flu season that I get infected as well. I cannot avoid contact since I am a student, a daughter, and a tutor. What can I do to prevent others from getting infected by me? A facemask. By wearing a mask I can reduce the number I infect with my coughs and sneezes. By wearing a facemask less people will blame me for their ailments. This would all be beneficial; once I heal I would be less likely to catch the cold again through second hand cough and sneezing. We can even have these masks in different designs if one like. Unfortunately, the only mask available in America is the white construction mask. It looks unappealing, and unjust. It would be beneficial to wear this mask since it creates a healthier society.
